Companies will be punished in case of data loss

The measure has been set since the december 4th.
Companies will face fines of up to 5 per cent of their global turnover in cases where data are lost. They would also have to alert authorities and the effected parties within only 24 hours.
"Hacking is not the only danger" said Bruno Roques, a Wooxo's IT security expert. "The IT Risks are now linked to the data access, to the lack of IT security audit, to the backup automatization deficiency and to the quantity of information sent or received by companies"
